There is a support group for family members and significant others of alcoholics. It's called Al-Anon. The goal of the group is to help family members understand that their loved one's addiction is not about them. It also helps them see how their co-dependent behaviors have allowed the alcoholic to continue their destructive ways. Have you thought about why you were drawn to your job in the first place? Were you around an alcoholic parent when you were a kid?
What are you hoping to find in these groups or books? The obvious answer is that you cannot change their behavior. However, you can chose a different employer. If you feel like you cannot afford to change jobs, then I would recommend speaking to an employment law attorney. They would be able to assist you with legal options to help you get away from your current employer without losing income.
