What things can you do in San Diego?

San Diego is a great city!I live in San Diego and there is everything to do! The beaches are always the first choice, with several to choose from, whether you want to surf or just lie in the sun. If you like dancing, there is the Gaslamp District in Downtown. They also have some very nice restaurants and pubs there too. For Mexican food, try the Old Town and soak up some Southern California history.

There is the marine life on display and performing at San Diego Seaworld. The San Diego Zoo is the best in the world, and very well known for its cute pandas. Balboa Park has very nice museums ( the Dead Sea Scrolls are here ). You can go on a boat around the Harbor or sailing, or visit the Maritime Museum. Play Golf at a world class course such as the one at Torrey Pines. Rock climbing is nice in the mountains ( or in the foot hills). You can also go to the desert, it is just 1 1/2 hours from downtown.

To make it short, you can surf in the morning, have a nice breakfast downtown, go for a mountain hike around noon and ride in a dune buggy in the evening and still make it home in time to go to bed. San Diego has everything to do!

San Diego is the second largest city in California. It is located just north of Mexico and borders the Pacific Ocean. It has 70 miles of coastline and is known for its mild year round weather.

A major city in southern California, it contains a major commercial port, Navy base and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot. And not only is it a huge military port, but a prime vacation location! In downtown San Diego, right near the airport is the Gaslamp which includes major shopping and great nightclubs and restaurants. Then a little up the road is the famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park which offers numerous museums of all sorts. Of course there are the beaches, the most popular are Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and Ocean Beach. Near Mission Beach is Belmont Park which has carnival rides year round. There's plenty of Surfing, sailing, and swimming offered in SD as well. Don't forget about SeaWorld either, close to the beaches and fun for all ages!
