Wireless phones were not common in every household. TVs had dials. Fancy strollers were nowhere like they are now. Most people did not have internet and, if they did, it was dialup. Microwaves had dial selections. Water softeners were larger and placed outside. Cable TV with premium channels was under $40. The 8086 computers were being used and Display Writer, a common wordprocessor, had four 5 1/4" disks that you had to insert into the drive, depending on the function you wanted. We actually used the function "F" keys. Back doors in cars didn't always have child locks. People were wearing a lot more polyester, including white leather belts and shoes for men.
