In May of 1945, Russian Armies marched on the capital of Germany, Berlin. Days before, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in Berlin. For the next months, American armies took Austria, an ally of Germany. In June and July, the American army and navy surrounded Japan, and the U.s. dropped 2 nuclear bombs on Japan. Japan surrendered in September 1st.
