My Great Dane might have ingested a small amount of acetone fingernail polish remover.
Harlow is a 6 year old Great Dane weighing roughly 115lbs. Yesterday on our walk he had VERY watery diarrhea and vomited a white foamy mucus 3-4 times throughout the day which he has never done before. He hasn't had any diarrhea accidence in the house today and has not vomitted again since last night but i am still concerned.
I couldn't figure out what could have made him so sick. I searched the house and discovered that my second dane, a puppy, had drug out my "fingernail kit". I found a small bottle of acetone polish remover underneath my couch with a puncture hole in it. There couldn't have been more than a table spoon left in the bottle before they found it.
I know that any acetone consumption is BAD acetone consumption, but because of his size I wanted to see if you thought that a tablespoon sized amount would be enough to upset his stomach this badly for a day OR should i keep looking for other possible suspects?
Thank you so much!
Take your dog to the vet immediately!
Finger his a$$ until in comes out
just don't let your dog ingest nyquil.
Take him to your Vet or the local Emergency Vet
Immediately have someone call 911. Do not induce vomiting. Call the Poison Control Center (US 1-800-222-1222) and follow their instructions.
It definitely can be. If the dog is not able to pass all the material on its own, you will need to take it to the vet, they will either do surgery or get the dog to take vallium to try and make it easier for the dog to pass it.
If you get it to a vet immediately and get the shoe removed, chances are it might just be a little sick.
YES! Anything with chocolate or cocoa in it is toxic to dogs. Call your vet immediately if your dog ingests either.
Ink from a pen certainly has the potential to kill a dog. If a dog gets into a lot of pens, chews them up, and ingests a lot of ink you should take your dog to the vet right away.
I dont know but i think that it would be a good idea to stop feeding your dog stain remover!!! Retard!!!!!!!!I dont know but i think that it would be a good idea to stop feeding your dog stain remover!!! Retard!!!!!!!!
No, because when you add acetone to acetone, all you are doing is adding more of the volume of acetone to acetone. You are just changing the amount of acetone, not anything chemically happening.
Yes, mainly there are 3 types of acetone: regular acetone, acetone with enriched formula, maximum strength acetone.
