Stop, pull over, shut off your engine, and call for assistance. You can cause serious damage by overheating your car.
I Dnt know
The engine is overheating. The check engine light is not on because you have no problem with the emissions system which this light monitors.
That sounds like a overheating warning light. Allow engine to cool then check coolant levels.
At least in the USA, a red light does not turn yellow. It turns green. A green light turns yellow, and then the yellow light turns red. IN THAT ORDER.
automotive manufactures are now using lights instead of gauges to save money and make it more user friendly. Blue coolant light in the instrument cluster means that the engine coolant temperature is still not at the normal operating temperature (cold). Normally happens at cold start (when you first the car up in the morning for example) It will turn off once the coolant temperature reaches normal operating temperature. Note: if the coolant light turns red, it means your engine is over heating and you should turn it off before you cause more damage.
That light is a warning that your engine coolant is low. Check your expansion tank for the proper level and fill as necessary.
The coolant in a 1998 model has dex cool antifreeze. It is red in color and not green. It is suppose to be good for 5 years or 150000 miles.
Varies by vehicle. An older vehicle, it might just be a coolant temperature gauge, or some might have a small light on the gauge to get your attention which is triggered by that gauge peaking. On current medium- and heavy duty vehicles, where the engine will shut down to prevent damage from overheating, the red engine shutdown light will come on, and this might be accompanied by a specific coolant level light in the instance where it's due to low coolant. This is also typically accompanied by an audible alarm and an in-dash display which will show a message such as "low coolant level".That would be two separate warning lights on some vehicles. One for the engine coolant temp being too hot and the other would be for engine coolant level is low.
The yellow radiator light on your Honda Accord is an indicator of low coolant in the radiator. The red radiator warning light is an indication of the engine overheating.
the plastic is red so it turns light red
If it is the red light we see. I believe you will find that it is a low coolant light. Ours has a coolant leak so we see this light a lot. If it is the red light we see. I believe you will find that it is a low coolant light. Ours has a coolant leak so we see this light a lot.
I'm going to say that the vehicle is low on engine coolant.
