What you absolutely shouldn't do is try to give your dog medication at home - human fever reducers (called "antipyretics" on the bottle) such as Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, aspirin, acetominophen and others are very toxic to dogs and you can cause a fatal stomach ulcer pretty easily with these drugs.
When your dog has a fever it's best to see a vet. There can be too many reasons why your dog has a fever and it should be diagnosed by your vet. Be sure there is lots of water for your dog. Pay attention to whether they are eating or not. Try to get a stool sample (let them have a poo outside and then stick a piece into a clean empty pill bottle) an hour or so before going to the vets. This will help the vet determine what is going on with your dog.
Aspirin is not toxic to dogs.
A typical aspirin dose is 5 to 10 mg per pound (10 to 20 mg/kg) twice daily for dogs, and 5 mg per pound (10 mg/kg) once every other day for cats.
You should definitely see a vet about your dog's fever BUT I see no reason to make it suffer while you wait for an appointment.
To some degree this will depend upon what other symptoms you are seeing - is the puppy vomiting or having diarrhea? This may be parvovirus, which can be life-threatening and needs immediate treatment. Is your puppy not eating or drinking normally or laying around and not playing/exploring like normal? This could be any of a bunch of different infections and the puppy should be examined by a veterinarian soon. Is your puppy acting just fine - eating, drinking, normal bowel movement, playing like a normal hyperactive puppy? Then your puppy may be just fine (remember that normal dog body temperature is 100.5 to 102 degrees F, well above what a human's is) - I would keep an eye on your puppy to see if he starts showing other signs of being sick.
Not egsacly sure but just don't get it wet. That just heats her up more.
Go to a vet
A better question would be what is the temperature of a normal dog. That would be about 101 to 102. Above that would mean that the dog has a fever. Also remember, just because a dog is sick does not mean that the dog would always have a fever.
No, you can not get sick after having yellow fever.
porter fever is where your emotinally sick
When it is not eating and not play full mostly puppies are found of doing that so if your dog has the up problems it might be sick
Dogs will if they are sick, but also if they are stresses or scared.
a fever.
A cat that is sick is called a sick cat
He may be sick. You should call your vet for advice.
As sick as a parrot. As sick as a dog.
If the dog is vomiting, or panting when it isn hot. Or diarreha Also look for weepy eyes, or nasal discharge. If the tip of his nose is dry he may have a fever. If in doubt, take him to the vet to be sure.
