They can use any form of ceremony. Usually, notaries, judges and other civil officers use a traditional ceremony form similar to the types used by ministers, but without religious references. Search the web for "wedding ceremony text" and you will find tons of them.
Note that only Florida, South Carolina and Maine notaries can solemnize a marriage, and the notary must be acting in his or her own state (i.e. Florida notaries can only perform weddings in Florida, South Carolina notaries can only perform weddings in South Carolina, etc.).
A "Notary Public" or a "Public Notary" is a legal professional (e.g. a Lawyer) who can put their signature on a document and say it is what it says it is. For example, you may need a Notary Public to sign a photocopy of your passport to show that it is a genuine photocopy of your actual passport.
A notary public verifies that a person is who they say they are. <><><> They certify that a signature is that of a given person- and they may certify that a copy of a document is a true copy of an original.
so that he/she knows that you are who you say you are.. that way they dont get into trouble.
It means sponsor of marriage, someone who is paying for it
A notary does not sign to acknowledge a document. A notary is a witness of the person who signed the document. He signs to say that the person who's signature appears on the document is, in fact, the person who signed it. (This is why a notary will ask to see your drivers license or other photo ID - to prove that you are who you say you are.) A notary would back date a document because the person signing the document already signed and dated it before it was handed to the notary. In this case, the notary would not have seen the person sign the document, so it is illegal for the notary to both sign and back date.
Congratulations on your marriage.
just say thankyou!
Avocat if you need an attorney, notaire if you need a French property lawyer (not to be confused with the US Notary Public). In France, a lawyer or avocat (i.e. a French solicitor/attorney) is both a solicitor and a barrister as he or she can appear before courts of the first and second degree. The Notaire is a public officer who drafts then records Deeds and contracts to which the parties wish to give a seal of authenticity, ensure their date, keep them in trust and to issue authentic copies of such documents.A Notaire has a monopoly on conveyancing contracts or on establishing marriage contracts. Not to be confused with an anglo-saxon Notary who, as in the USA and the UK, mainly witnesses acknowledgements and oaths as an impartial party.
The purpose of getting something notarized is usually to make sure that the person signing a document is the person they say they are. The seal is issued by the state to a specific notary after a background check, so the notary is also identified on the document ... if there's any problem with the document, the notary's records can be checked.
You Go Pardon you
In a mtter of speaking they are "licensed" and authorized by the state to carry out the duties of their office, which is primarlily to wtiness signatures on documents and verify that the persons signing are, in fact, who they say they are.
I would say it means that you are not entirely satisfied with your marriage.
