The following are all in my opinion:
1) disobedience
2) willingness to work
3) quality production (e.g. if you work as a chef you produce good food, so basically doing a job well)
4) manners
5) intelligence and understanding in your field (e.g. if you work as a mechanic, you are required to have an understanding of mechanism )
6) fair communication skills (no matter what you're job, you're expected to communicate with society; even if you're self employed, you're not going to make good business if you keep to yourself!)
Those are the guidelines of any job, higher jobs will obviously require more; such as, if you work in an office you are expected good ICT and organisation skills. Think about your job and add to that yourself what you think you need.
If you boss have already decided to remove you from job then you can be saved by miracle but if you want to be in good books of you boss then you can be more productive and active at workplace and try to be more interactive to your boss depending on the nature of work you do.
The last option that i would suggest you and this option comes from a story that i read ! You can actually do something to impress your boss's wife ! Lovely isn't it !. Well if you boss is a girl then be punctual, smart, take a haircut, shave ( your beard) ,well dressed and polite.
That is it. I hope this helps you to save your job.
You say to yourself "Well which job is better?" or "Do I care about pay or how my boss treats me?"
Considering he is your boss and I expect you want to keep the job I wouldn't say much. You could try a "I message " telling him how you feel, but from what you described he doesn't care how you feel.
Why does he need to know that? Is there a reason for him to know so you can keep your job? I wouldn't say a word unless it was needed.
Fine means good so they are telling you that you are doing a good job and you should keep it up, unless they say it in a sarcastic voice then it means the opposite.
It is unnecessary to have the boss thank you or you thank the boss because you did your job and he did his. If the boss hands you your pay check then say 'thank you.'
you try to do your very best at your job and if you keep on working on it you can acheve
ignore them and tel ur boss about it.
Its a reference you get whilst you are working in a job, for example if you change departments or your boss retires you might request one from your boss to keep on file.

You can say that the boss hired you for the wrong job. Emphasize that the new job for which you are applying matches your skills better.
