You should take an antihistamine (loratadine, cetirizine, diphenhydramine) right away. If the reaction is severe you may need an epinephrine injector (EpiPen, Twinject, ). Seek emergency help even though the epinephrine helps. I will wear off in 30-60 minutes.

The cure for a food allergy is to find out what foods you are allergic to, and stop eating them. Sometimes if you stop eating an allergic food for 2 or 3 weeks, you can start eating small amounts of it again without a reaction. You should never do this if the reaction is severe and you should seek the help of a Medical Allergist and not a surgeon Allergist(ENT). They only deal with minor Allergies of the nose.
