How do I change spark plugs in 2009 Toyota Corolla? whaT TOOLS I NEED
You will need the correct replacement spark plugs, a spark plug socket, and a screw driver. The new cars have the spark plugs concealed and you might have to open the cover over the engine to access it, which may require addition tools
i cant figure it out either. . . .. . . .the world may never know
Changing the spark plugs in a Mercedes w208 320 1999 only requires two tools to be used. The first tool is a 3/8 wratchet that has a short extension and the second tool part is a universal socket. Attach the universal socket to the spark plug socket and use the wratchet to loosen each spark plug. Use the same tools to tighten the new spark plugs into place.
To replace spark plugs, you can use a socket wrench, but a socket made for removing and replacing spark plugs is needed. This socket is relatively inexpensive and can be found at most auto parts stores.
no you do not..
Go buy a Auto Repair manual for your car. Do you have the right tools? See above for more info.
remove the pretty plastic on the top of the motor once remove you will have direct access to the front 3 spark plugs, to remove the rear spark plugs remove the intake manifold and then you will be able to access the back bank of spark plugs. then reassemble everything. tools needed ratchet and sockets and large extension
Commonly you would need a spark-plug socket, a ratchet and possibly a few extensions of varied sizes..It also depends on what model the vehicle is, in some front wheel drive vehicles that have a V-6 replacing the spark-plugs requires you to remove the plenum (intake manifold / throttle body) to access the 3 spark-plugs that are located closest to the firewall...
If your Diamante is the Dohc 6 cyl. motor in it then you have to remove the entire intake manifold to replace the back 3 plugs I did it in about 4 hours with not many tools and I am a female. So it can be done.
The amount of time needed to change the spark plugs on a 2004 Mitsubishi Spider varies based on the experience of the individual and the amount of tools available. A shop can complete the task in 30 to 45 minutes while a novice will need between 1 and 2 hours to complete the job.

There are tools designed for spark plug wire removal, these tools greatly simplify removing the wires and help prevent you from tearing the wire. There are short reach and long reach tools. Most auto parts stores carry them and they are not too expensive and greatly help to aleeviate frustration.
Make sure you have the proper tools: 6"-8" Extension Nut driver/screwdriver (to remove coil packs) Spark plug socket with retainer (rubber washer) NGK spark plugs (bosch platnium plugs not recommended) Do them one at a time to ensure the plugs are replaced accordingly Spark plug gapper (ensure the plugs are gapped properly .044) DENCO come pre gapped; do not scrap needle point plugs (ruins electrode)
use a bendy extension with your plug socket on the end. Available in a good socket set such as Teng-Tools. Dan,
Being male or female doesnt have an affect on changing spark plugs. To change the plugs you should do it one by one, I would recommend you do the easiest ones first. Just simply follow the spark plug wires to find all 6. Get your correct tools in order socket, ratchet and take one plug out at a time, when you get one out and get ready to replace it I would suggest you put a small amount of antiseize on the thread of the plugs. Just snug them down you do not need to tighten them down extensivly. Do this for all the plugs some may be tricky but you can do it
The spark plugs are in the engine of the car. Open the hood and locate the ignition coil at the top center of the engine. There are 4 very thick wires attached to it, with 2 running left and 2 running right. Each of these wires leads to a spark plug. If you want to change the spark plugs you will need to remove the windshield washer bottle on the left side and air intake ducting on the right. Tools needed include a 5/8" spark plug socket, a ratchet, and several lengths of extensions for the ratchet.

no special tools required except a plug wrench most socket sets have plug sized sockets in them
You will need a general screwdriver, a spark plug socket, a socket wrench and and extender, a wire brush and a silicone dielectric compound. You should find more of these tools at SEARS or your favorite car parts dealer. You will need a spark plug wrench with an extension to replace the spark plugs in a 1998 Nissan Sentra. You can find an instructional video at www.youtube.com.
I just replaced the plugs in this truck and you need to pull both wheels. You then remove the weather flaps and can get to the plugs from there with regular socket tools nothing special. Don`t need to pull both wheels, just passenger with a wobble extension
