I can't say why but the two early colonies were Roanoke and Sagadahoc Colonies, if that isn't right try Virginia and Masschutets<- this might be wrong.

There is no evidence that Protestantism was ever banned officially by any of the thirteen original colonies. There are occasional examples of Catholicism being banned by the Church of England before the Revolution, but never the reverse. The colony of Maryland, which was established by Catholics, may have had some reason to ban Protestantism, or even followers who espoused the idea, but there is no evidence that it was ever done.
The thirteen colonies were split into three different regions New England, middle, and southern. The difference between the New England and middle colonies was the way the land was divided up as well as the fact that the middle colonies produced many of the early crops for the first thirteen colonies.
