The owner's manual for my '97 calls for ATF+2. I think it also says on the stick what type of fluid should be used. I'm pretty sure that when I had my transmission serviced they used ATF+4. I was told that the 4 replaced 2 + 3. It's been well over a year since I had it done and all seems fine.

A 1999 Dodge Dakota does not have an inertia switch. The fuel system is computer controlled with relays.
The fuse box on the Dodge Dakota Sport (1998 model) is to the left of the steering wheel and is accessible only when the drivers side door is open.
