From Haynes Repair manual #36071, 1993-2005 Ford Ranger Pick-ups and 1994-2005 Mazda B-Series Pick-ups: Autotamatic transmission fluid: 1997 and later = MERCON V automatic transmission fluid Manual transmission lubricant type: MERCON automatic transmission fluid
Rcommended manual transmission lubricant type: MERCON automatic transmission fluid - Haynes Repair Manual #36071, 1994-2005 Mazda Pick-ups B2300, B2500, B3000, B4000.
Same place you check it.
The Mazda b3000 pickup truck does not have hydraulic fluid. None of the vehicles components use hydraulic fluid in any way.
Use Dextron automatic transmission fluid (even for manual transmission) per the factory manual. Cheers Malcolm Use Dextron automatic transmission fluid (even for manual transmission) per the factory manual. Cheers Malcolm
can you answer the question i have a 1990 ford ranger with a Mazda manual transmission what fluid does it require
dextron mercron
You don't use clutch fluid for a manual transmission vehicle.
Automatic transmission fluid type: 1993 thru 1996: Mercon automatic transmission fluid; 1997 and later: Mercon V automatic transmission fluid. - Haynes Manual # 36071, 1993-2005 Ford Ranger Pick-ups and 1994-2005 Mazda B-Series Pickups. To be absolutely sure, you might want to verify at your local auto parts store. NOTE: Do not mix Mercon and Mercon V (per Haynes Manual).
Is this a trick? I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 and there dip stick along the fire way, more to the left. Open the hood and find the stick that says "Transmission fluid". Remove the stick, after the engine is hot, and transmission in "Park" and wipe it clean. Read the directions on the stick. Yeah! Douglas Lamberson metropac@earthlink.net This is all very interesting unless it is a manual transmission, that check is a little more grounding.
Believe it or not, the factory manual calls for Automatic transmission fluid GM Dextron II for the 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions. Cheers Malcolm
