Honda drivers are always recommended towards the use of Honda brand transmission fluid. The fluid is made specifically for Honda vehicles and allows optimal function of the drivetrain.
If you want your Honda transmission to shift properly do not use anything but genuine Honda automatic transmission fluid. Use only Honda ATF DW-1 fluid. Use any substitute at your own risk.
I highly recommend you get your fluid from a Honda dealer. SLF or VTF.
Honda manual transmission oil, go to your Honda dealer.

Dextron-Mercon
Honda ATF-Z1 transmission fluid or a multi-import transmission fluid that meets the requirements for ATF-Z1.
Honda fluid only Get it at your local Honda dealership. If you use any other fluid it will make your car shift funky
Genuine Honda Trans-axle fluid from dealer...
Genuine Honda ATF which you can purchase at any Honda dealer. Warning: Do not use any other fluid as a substitute.
Honda ATF is used only for Honda's Automatic Transmission vehicles. HMMF & CVT Fluid are used for Honda's Continuously Variable Transmission vehicles. HMMF is more expensive and for the Japan domestic market. CVT for the export models but both works well.
Absolutely use nothing but Honda ATF-Z1. Do not use any substitute as your transmission will shift hard. You can buy it at your Honda dealer. I know, it cost more. Well what does a transmission rebuild cost?
