My 2500 (3/4 ton) four wheel drive has a turbo 400 (yes the one that has been used since the 60's) three speed auto transmission in it. If you have a 4 speed auto in a 1500 (1/2 ton) I could not tell you, but I saw the answer a few pages of questions back.
Hope that helps and good luck.
If you're driving a 1500 (1/2 ton) with OD you have the 700R4
yes
the world will never know...
That is a 350 engine.
TH 700R-4
What is the engine in the Caprice? In the Suburban? If they are a 305/350 then they can be interchanged. I have a 1985 Caprice Classic with a 305 and the tranny came out of a 1987 Suburban. It depends on the engine.
No. 2 and 4-wheel drive transmissions are different. Will not interchange.
Yes but you may have to shorten the drive shaft if it is a 350 turbo going to a non electronic 700r4
That would be the 4L60E transmission. The 4L80E was used in the 3/4 tons
Yes it will if the 700r4 is out of a 4x4 to start with.
YES it will bolt up to the engine, But it will not shift because it is a computor controlled electronic transission.
depending on plant maufactured and addded accesories between 185-205 hp roughly
what is the preceger for replacing the head gaskets on a 1993 chevy suburban 4x4 350
