www.motorcraft.com shows the ignition timing for a 1979 F150 with the 460 cubic inch ( 7.5 liter ) V8 , automatic transmission , as 14 degrees BTDC
The 5.9 Cummins didn't come out until 1989...
Artful Dodge was created in 1979.
I may be able to help you but you have to be more specific about what shaft and what model transmission. Henrij. e-mail , johnhhjr@aol.com
I own a 1979 Dodge TransVan with the 400ci/6.5L v8. Doing 50-55mph on the highway, I get 10.4mpg. Mine has a 410 Dana rearend and a 3spd 727 transmission. they are definitely not gas sippers. I'm unsure what other models would get. I know you can get them with 318v8, 360v8, 440v8.
The turbo 350 transmission came in a 1979 ElCamino.
The front fascias will interchange. The rear ends won't.
