this car has no a/c button when you set it to max a/c that turns it on unless you have automatic climate control when you set temp that turns it on if automatic climate control run temp to highest setting if it gets hot the climate control most likely is working if your system is low on freon it has a low pressure switch which prevents system from operating to keep from burning up your compressor because the freon carries the oil which lubricates your compressor also when you loose freon you also loose a small amount of oil so if system is low it will be necessary to add a small amount of oil maybe one or two ounces not to much because if you put to much oil will not operate properly
There is 36.7 IRA that is in a one ton of air compressor.
There is a Button Hunt 4 coming out on 11/11/11
If the compressor is not coming on at all it could be that you are low of refrigerant and just need to add some more.
pluged filter, dirty coils,
It regulates the air pressure coming out of the compressor. Usually, they are adjustable and used to lower the air pressure.
most likely it is out of freon
The compressor is coming on because you have the heater set to defrost. Take it off defrost and the compressor will not come on. I would suspect the compressor is locked up.
Yes, if the compressor's bearings are bad, usually accompanied by a roaring or squealing noise coming from the compressor's pulley.
If it's the compressor, the telltale signs are usually pretty obvious. It won't cycle, or you'll hear strange noises coming from the compressor, or it'll smoke.
Most likely that it comes with an automatic transmission opposed to coming with a manual transmission and then having to pay extra for the automatic.
In a gear driven compressor which is integral to the engine (as is the case with heavy duty trucks), you don't - the motor oil flows through the compressor, lubricating it. That's why it's also a telltale sign that the compressor is bad if you bleed the air tanks and have oil coming out.
Check the ac compressor and clutch to see where the noise is coming from. Also check the compressor drive belt for wear.
