You're only limited by the amount of work you want to put into the car. With some modification I have seen the motor from an Audi R8 in a first generation MR2
The second gen mr2 turbo came with a single turbo, the later engines where reffered to as having twin entry. Simply put, this means two lines of air travle into a single turbo, to reduce air stall at low speeds
a non-turbo engine will not hold up to the turbos you will have to put in hardened internals
fit a twin turbo engine
Can you put a 3.0 engine in an 86 mr2
The "small block" Chev engine is a popular engine swap for this car. As to the twin turbo that is going to be a large amount of work but completely doable.
a good engine to put in a car i think is a 350 small block with a twin turbo. another is a 440 big block v8 with twin headers
u could put a twin turbo in to make the engine faster
The engine will only fit in right hand steered cars because of turbo issues with the brake master cylinder.
no. buy a twin turbo gto
Why would you want to put one of the crappiest engines in a mr2 that v6 is only rated to about 190 hp for a v6 ?? Thats hella slow while the 3sgte, the turbo mr2 motor pushes about 220 stock and its a 2.0 liter !! 4 cylinder ! Swap that instead and its a plug and play swap
you can put a turbo on a stealth but if the engine is made to be NA (naturally aspirated) then it would reqire a lot of work by a trained mechanic it would be cheaper to buy the R/t twin turbo edition of the car n just put bigger turbos on
I would not attempt to put a twin turbo system on the fiero stock engine, as it will not be able to hold the boost. There is a company called designone.com they make single turbo kits for the fiero and they use Garrett and hks turbos, check them out.
