∙ 8y agoThe tradition of Thanksgiving is not strictly an American tradition per say.
This holiday is celebrated in many countries including Canada, and normally follows the last major harvest of the season. Although in other countries it may be celebrated under a different name. The term Thanksgiving itself is strictly a north American tradition used in both the US and Canada.
