The purpose of denitrification is to remove or reduce nitrogen or nitrogen groups within a substance or mixture. One example of denitrification would be to add bacteria to soil.

The four groups of photosynthetic bacteria are brownish nonsulfur, green sulfur, purple sulfur, and purple nonsulfur bacteria. Bacteria constitute a significant domain of what are referred to as prokaryotic microorganisms.
Microbes are sorted into these 4 groups: Viruses, Fungi, Bacteria and Protozoa

There is no listing for bycobacteria. Mycobacterium are groups of bacteria that are responsible for conditions such as leprosy and tuberculosis. Mycobacterium are generally considered gram positive strains of bacteria.

Gram positive bacteria consists classically of 6 groups of bacteria, each of these groups contain several types and or subgroups of their own. They are responsible for many different infections in humans. Some diseases, but definitely not all, include: Pimples, Impetigo, Boils, Pneumonia, Meningitis, Toxic shock syndrome, Septicemia, Listeriosis, Anthrax, Diphtheria, Botulism, Tetanus and Gas gangrene.
