Just what the manufacture recommends which is more than likely 5W20 weight any major brand. Look on the oil fill cap or in your owner's manual. I personally use Pennzoil in my 2004 Honda and have since I bought my first Honda in 1989. Also use a quality oil filter. I use Purolator and also have since 1989. Not one problem in all those years.

There is no oil filter bracket. It uses a spin on type oil filter.
If you mean a different weight then you're not very wise. Use the exact weight oil that Honda recommends. If you are referring to the brand of oil, you do not have to use Honda oil. In fact Honda does not even make oil their oil is refined by another company. You can use any major brand oil of your choice, as long as it is the correct weight.
