Buddhists wear what everyone else wears in the country they live in. I wear jeans and shorts, my kids dressed like all other teens. Monks and nuns have various styles of robes they wear depending on their particular leanings. Also this can vary by country. If you type in the Dali Lama in Google or Yahoo etc, you will find pictures of him and get a good idea of what Tibetan Monks wear. But the average Joe like you and I wear regular everyday clothes.

During ceremonies they wear a black robe and a brown robe above that. The orange-yellow saffron should be worn only by enlightened masters, but unfortunately lots of people started wearing them, even novices. Lay Buddhist can also wear Buddhist clothing, which is usually quite plain, one colored clothing, often simply black. During ceremonies they either wear normal clothes, but if they have already taken refuge (and five precepts), they also wear a black robe. If they even accepted the Bodhisattva vows, they also wear a brown robe above that.

A Buddhist conforms to the clothing styles of whatever country he lives in. In North America this could range from three piece business suits to a tee shirt and cut offs. Buddhism is way of life not a fashion statement. Some monks and lamas wear traditional robes, others golf shirts and slacks. If the question were "What do Christians wear?" the answer would not be "The men all wear black suits with white collars and large crosses and the women wear black habits with white wimples and large crosses."

As an experiment go to the nearest Buddhist Temple. Staff may wear distinctive uniforms, just like clergy at any church, but the folks coming and going will look much like everyone else in your city - that is for both ethnicity and clothing.
