On the second generation MR2 and MR2 Turbo (1991 through 1995 USA, and 1991 through 1999 for the rest of the world), it is on the FRONT side of the engine, between the engine and the rear firewall of the cabin area. It is the right side of the car.
Can you put a 3.0 engine in an 86 mr2
A 4A-GE engine. (by the way developed by Yamaha) just type 4A-GE in on google. ur welcome
Through the bottom
yes
No , the 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine in a 1987 Toyota MR2 is not an interference engine
Tow it behind a Dodge Viper. An MkII MR2 isn't designed to have so much power. You'd have to swap out the engine (what big engine fits??) and upgrade a bunch of stuff including cooling, brakes, suspension and transmission. Heh heh-- I do understand the desire for ridiculous performance, though. Best of luck!
speed-source.com, look for the mr2 mk1.5 mount kit
The 2.2L early 90s enging was DOHC, not SOHC and no, it would not be easy to put that engine and transmission into a MkI MR2.
Closest to serpentine belt.
Ask Kody olsand
You can have it rebuilt for about $1950.00.
