Folk/pop
The recording uses folk instruments like acoustic guitar and banjo, but its emphasis on groove would put it more in the genre of dance/pop. The production also sounds heavily "Europop" -- dance/Pop Music with orchestral and big-band touches -- putting it in league with European dance acts like Saint Etienne, early Rick Astley, or even Natasha Bedingfield, or ABBA.

I don't know about a "1234 tell me what ur looking for", but there's another song that goes "1234 tell me that you love me more" that might be the one you're think of...that one is sung by Feist.
If you mean the one who sings L-O-V-E, it's Joss Stone.
