What type of gift does the mother of the bride give to the bride?

Something that was passed down from generation to generation like a peice of jewelry that belonged to one of the grandmothers of the bride. In these recessionary times, I would advise on good old money or cash. In this way, the bride and groom can buy whatever they need not whatever other people think they may need or want.

Mostly money. But sometimes you can find out one honeymoon they are going on and get them tickets to wherever they are going on their honeymoon.
