Toughened or laminated
EDIT: Laminated, annealed glass for the windshield. It will be held to gether by the plastic if broken, and not break into shards to cut the driver and passenger. The other windows are tempered, and break into small cubes that don't cut.
Classic cars, like '57s chevys, have laminated glass thoughout. Antique cars , like Model T's, had simple plate glass, it caused serious cuts in an accident
Tempered, also called safety glass.
Silica glass

Hello hello my name's Dibo,
My son crashed the car through the neighbor's bathroom. It now has to be repaired. Who sells glass block windows in Chicago?
Any ceramic can be used to break windows, basically any hard substance formed into a small point will break a window as it is focusing all the impact force to a small area. Car windows are made with toughned glass that makes it considerably harder to break than normal household annealed glass. when you overcome the breaking strength of toughned glass it shatters and crumbles into small pieces that become less dangerous in an accident the exception to this is the glass used in car windscreens which is laminated safety glass this is two sheets laminated together a layer of vynl which will allow the glass to break but remain in place.
glass works like a magnafieing glass on a ant in the sun but with no breeze to cool it off. same affect in a car leave the windows craked alittle and tint your windows alittle this will help.
