Automobile oils are mostly fine for your motorcycle, but don't forget you have a wet clutch. Using 'Energy Conserving' oil in your machine will likely cause your clutch to slip. The oil is actually to slipery for the clutch plates to grab.
The API Service stamp on the container will tell you if it's Energy Conserving.
