Yes, They are the same. GM uses the same parts for Pontiac and Chevy, although the carb may be different therefore the carb from the Pontiac will not always work with a Chevy.

Your manual trans will use Dextron III Auto fluid. Yes, it uses Auto Fluid. That blew me away when I found that out. I thought it would have used gear oil, but that is not the case for the Firebird.
