I just changed the oil on my friends 1997 Nissan Sentra. I used 5w-30 because that is what I had on hand. I asked the man working at my local Napa Auto Parts store when I went to buy the filter for it if that was okay. Apparently 10w-30 is recommened, but he said that 5w-30 would work just fine.
what type of oil should i change for Nissan sentra 2006 Normally 10W30 or 10W40 is good thicker for older cars 10W40 is thicker FYI
It is important to use the right type of motor oil in a car to keep the car performing well. A 1999 Nissan Sentra GXE uses 5w-30 or 10w-30 engine oil.
1997 nissan sentra gxe
2.5 liters with the filter change
5w-30
10W-30
The oil capacity of a Nissan Sentra 1.6L is 5 quarts. This includes the oil within the oil pan and the oil filter.
Conventional 5W30 is best. 10W30 is also ok.
The 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8L take 5w - 30
A transmission oil change for a 2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0 costs about $700.
the only true way repair the leaking oil pan it to remove the pan and change the gasket their is no quick fix for a leaking oil pan if you do it right the first time it wont bie you in the but latter
That sounds like an "upsell" and probably uneccesary.
