The proper oil type is important to keep a vehicle running correctly. 5w-20 oil is the oil that a 1996 Mazda b2300 uses.
For my Mazda I use 10w-30

The oil pump is located towards the front of the engine on the driver side. Below is an attached link with a diagram that displays the location.

The oil pressure sending unit is located on the driver side near the firewall in the side of the cylinder head. Below is an attached link with a diagram that shows the location.
Ordinary 5w-30 oil. Either read the dipstick or consult your owner's manual.
The amount of oil that goes into a Mazda 3 2.3 liter engine is 4.5 quarts. This would equal 4.3 liters.
5W-20 for USA and Canada, I know, it's uncommon, but that's what the owner's manual says. That's what the oil cap says too.
