1999 Isuzu trooper
The 1993 Isuzu Trooper with the 4L30E 5-speed manual specifies API 5W30 for the transmission. API SJ (or above) is compatible with this transmission.
ATF-III
Would have been built for R12, can be converted to R134a.
it could be an alternator problem,is it an automatic type heater(no manual levers)
I have owned two Isuzu trooper's. and 88 and a 98. Both having higher mileage I have always used 10W-30. If your truck is burning oil it may help to get a higher viscosity of oil, but 10W-30 will get the job done.
dextron III
depend on what type of transmission you have auto/stick?
0-20 mobil oil fully synthetic dont put to much ...
I have a 95 Isuzu trooper 3.2 dohc. --On line you can bring up the chiltons manual through the library (for free) here in Washington. -You just need a library card. When I was looking at the recall and revision page in the chilton manual it had an entry of a revision for the oil type to help remove the ticking in the engine that is caused by a varnish build up of the oil and it suggest to use 0w30 to get rid of it. I don't know what the normal is though it is probably 5w30. Hope I was able to help.
5w-30 is the best to use on the trooper, i take it, it is the 3.0DT? Its a very fickle engine and doesnt like any other type
