Hey, :)
Be sure to use "Motorcycle oil"I use Rotella 15W40 right now and will switch to a Rotella synthetic when the engine gets more miles. I found and read a write up done by a guy who not only rides bikes, but works in oil as a chemist or something along those lines as his trade. Many people at the ninja250.org site run Rotella also.
If your needing help in changing it:
-below the bike u will see 2 bolts,, the one in the center has the filter
-the one at the side is the drain plug, loose that one first, then after all the oil has been drained
-remove the one in the center , that will come off with a round plate containing the oil filter, pay attention on how things are so when you install the new oil filter all parts will be in the right place
- to fill up look at the side of the engine where it says 1.9 u will see a knob shaped thing unscrew it gently, that is where you fill up with the oil
-at the bottom you will see around glass, that's where you check oil level
make sure the glass don't get all covered, meaning u over filled it
just at 3/4 of full
Hope all this helps!!
