134a refrigerant
On the DOHC Duratec engine (don't know if it's different), the low side port for adding refrigerant is in the back left hand corner. Beyond that, follow the directions as supplied with the refill 'kit'.
I've been driving my 1995 Ford Explorer for almost 14 years and have never had to add refrigerant - the system still works fine
you dont just let it blow up
First it must be determined which type of brake fluid a 95 Ford Taurus uses. More than likely it is Dot 3. To add this fluid, find the brake fluid reservoir on the master cylinder. Unscrew the cap to the reservoir and replenish your brake fluid to the fill line. Screw the cap back on.
You need a refrigerant recovery system and gauges to do it properly.
Add fluid at the same place you check the level. You will need a long neck funnel.
Buy a kit at Wal-Mart or auto parts store comes with instructions
Master cylinder located at the driver's side firewall
On a 2001 Ford Taurus : You add brake fluid to the brake fluid reservoir , located in the engine compartment , on the drivers side of the engine compartment near the firewall * the firewall is the metal wall that divides the engine compartment from the passenger compartment *
Through the tube used to check the fluid level.
It is either on or near the recievr dryer in the right rear of the engine compartment. To corrrectly add freon, you need gauges and a refrigerant recovery system
push the throttle to the floor after a couple of minutes and crank until it clears and starts
