The standard military sidearm for pilots was the 38 caliber revolver. The 45 Govt. Model was the rage, but was always in short supply. Ground Combat units were supposed to get priority and wartime production couldn't keep up with demand. Paratroopers and other service members sometimes purchased their own 45's or preferred pistols. 45 cal Govt Models did make it to some aviation units either directly or from begging, borrowing, trading, or stealing.

Yes, navy pilots and air force pilots are military pilots.
In the US Air Force and US Navy, fighter pilots often live at home with their families between deployments. We typically do not take our families to front-line duty stations, although this was somewhat common in Germany during the cold war.
Nope. Sorry MateImproved Answer:Hell yeah!! I'm a girl and I totally dig pilots! Especially US Air Force Fighter Pilots!! There like the awesomest people ever!! Girls just go to an air show and talk to Military Fighter Pilots! (USAF Thunderbirds or US Navy Blue Angels) THERE SO HOT AND COOL!!
Yes but these military planes are flown navy pilots or military pilots.
The Navy has helicopters and employs pilots to fly them. And they even train you to do it.
They can and there are, but usually when an officer hits the rank of Captain in the Navy, they're moved up to command level, as opposed to the operational level. Essentially, when a Navy Commander is promoted and is still flying, they're not kept there for that long.
The main occupants of the Oceana NAS are the United States Navy. They use it as an air station and is home to fighter planes and the pilots who train to fly them.
Navy pilots fly in combat or on recon missions. They protect our country and help our allies.
only officers are in marine aviation but there are more enlisted then officers so not many most fighter planes are navy but air force does RC planes and crap
Yes but these military planes are flown by navy pilots or military pilots.
They're considered pilots. Naval Flight Officers, who are also pilots, are only in the Navy.
