During the 1930s, the Nazis had Jews ejected from universities, and orchestrated boycotts against Jewish businesses.
Later (1938), they instigated Kristallnacht, and hundreds of synagogues were trashed.
In 1939, they invaded Poland; and later they conquered all of Europe. They herded the Jews into ghettos, pressed some into forced labor, and killed tens of thousands of others.
In the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union (1941), army units (Einsatzgruppen) were tasked with killing the local Jews, and hundreds of Jewish villages were wiped out.
On January 20, 1942, at the Wannsee conference, the Nazi leaders adopted the official policy of killing all of Europe's Jews, wholesale. Hundreds of concentration camps and labor camps were set up, and six million Jews were killed in the brief space of a few years.

In the early days of Hitlers rise to power, the persecution of the Jews was mostly non-violent. Hitler used tactics such as spreading much anti-semetic Propaganda in newspapers such as Der Strumer. Many Jews were fired from their Jobs and were ejected from all positions of power, so Hitler employed Josef Goebbels (his minister of propaganda) to spread his hate messages. He made radio's and other modern technology cheap for the German people and spread his propaganda on there, he also showed Nazi news reels before every film showing such messages. Later, he organised the death camps & concentration camps and forced many Jews into ghetto's, but a famous anti-semetic movement Hitler organised was Kristallnacht, a movement in retaliation to the murder of a German diplomat in Paris by a Jew, where Jewish shops and businesses were smashed up over night by the un-uniformed SA. Many people followed this propaganda as during Hitlers rise to power was the Great Depression, and during times of such excruciating circumstances, people look for someone to blame.
