your body needs fat everywhere. there are 2 main types of fat-good and bad. the good fat won't cause much weight gain , but will cause many benefits. if you don't have enough good fat (omega 3,6,9) your skin will suffer because it will loose collegan and elasticity and the natural oil production will decrease. its basically like oil for an engine.

It differs depending on the meat, different types of meat have more fat then others which the fat has the calories and is not at all good for you, also how healthy the meat is depend on how you prepare it.
