Since the land area of Brazil is 3,265,075 sq miles (8,456,510 sq km) of land, the closest in size is Alaska (the largest state in the USA) with 665,384.04 sq miles (1,723,33 sq km).
The entire contiguous land area of the USA (i.e. excluding Hawaii and Alaska) is only 3,120,426 sq miles (8,081,867 sq km) - making it smaller than Brazil. Only when Alaska is added does the land area of the USA surpass that of Brazil - so obviously no state is even close to the size of Brazil.
