There are a number of vet schools with reputations of being "easier" to be accepted to, including Ross in St. Kitt's, Kansas State University, Western University, Mississippi State University, etc. However, the word "easier" is relative - you are still competing against up to twenty other highly motivated, well educated and dedicated students for each seat in a class. No vet school is actually "easy" to get into - you must complete at least three years of undergraduate college pre-requisite courses, demonstrate knowledge of the veterinary profession by observing a working vet for hundreds of hours, score well on the GRE or MCAT, have a very high GPA during college overall as well as in science-based classes and in your last 45 or 60 hours of work, have 2-3 veterinarians write glowing recommendations for you, etc.

Would a veterinarian become a veterinarian all over again?

One Answer: Yes, I would do it again, but I would approach vet school very differently if I knew at the beginning what I know now. I probably would have applied to a school with a regulatory track and gotten my MPH while in vet school rather than waiting until after vet school is over to start the MPH.
