The consequences of the American Civil Rights Movement were immense. The primary result was the "real" end of discrimination against Afro-Americans. This had results that were never addressed properly at the end of the US Civil War:

A. Freedom to vote without "created obstacles" to negate this;

B. Access to jobs and education that also hurdled " obstacles" ;

C. The recognition by most people that all races & ethnic groups deserved respect; and

D. A higher degree of self pride that the movement restored. Based on close ties with Afro-Americans, this writer can vouch for this personally.
