i did a report on him in the 5th grade. he did escape slavery, with help from one of his freinds, but i would say his biggest accomplishment was his speech. it was so great no one wrote it down. his speech help stop slavery, i do think it was a bout (the speech) slavery, what happened, so it got people to go against slavery. and so he traveled do the sppech, people swiching sides. hope i helped!:P
