Joseph Stalin was a very controversial man at best.
He was the successor of Vladimir Lenin who led the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) Who died the Same year as Stalin took over; 1929.
Basically he "defended the Motherland's Communist manifesto" from Soviet bred rebels and the Germanic Third Reich.
When he was in power; even throughout the second world war, He ordered the Soviet educational system to authorize teachings of: Communism, Basic Socialism, History of the Soviet Union, Teachings of himself and Lenin in schools.
He also made sure that Soviet offices, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Authority buildings, Hospitals, Barracks, and agricultural estates. had the flag of the USSR and sometimes statues of key figures to promote their shared controversial culture throughout the Republic.
He also claimed a lot of power, money, and fame/infamy when he captured and communized claimed countries during soviet and wartime expansion.
Places Include:
-Poland
-Eastern Germany
-Mongolia.
Even after he's death and funeral, the soviet union continued expanding; even later successions of the republic occurred.
- Such occurrences included helping Chairman Mao Zedong turn China from and Imperial republic into a Communist state.
- Increased fame and positive influences in South and Eastern Asia and Cuba.
- Increased infamy and negative influences in the United States Western Europe and N.A.T.O.
Some of these influences died out and became known as temporary changes such as aggression against trade to the Soviet Union from the United States and the United Kingdom which led the fall and utter collapse of the USSR in 1991.
Therefore some changes stopped when the collapse of the USSR, but some changes are still apparent and live on.
Even in the newly re-established Russian Federation there is still a Communist party in existence, not to mention that in Saint Petersburg which was once called Stalingrad and still has influences of former culture as Saint Petersburg has a Stalin statue.
Not to mention that that current Communist states like Cuba, North Korea, and the People's Republic of China still have Soviet influences and some countries have a Red-Army day which was very important to Soviet Military at it's time.

Well that's where most communists say the idea in the USSR went wrong, Stalin originally believed that the only way to spread communism was to make the USSR so amazing and popular and the people so happy that everyone would want the same thing, but once he was in power he broke that idea by starting to support governments around the globe to help spread communism which he was against when he came to power, so in result a lot of theses countries followed or tried to follow the same broken system in the USSR. and they all failed by the same thing and none every revised it.
The result of Stalin's attempts to promote communism were pretty devastating. One result was the fear that was instilled in the people.

The birth of Marx's communism was not the result of globalization. Marx saw economic and political injustice in Western Europe. Most particularly in England and Germany. To Marx and his wealthy benefactor, Engels, the cause of what Marx saw as injustices was the direct result of the industrial revolution.

Nationalism's power to unite and tear apart attempts to suppress nationalism was the ultimate result of nationalism because of the competition that grew from within.
