All fighting in WWI ended with the armistice on the 11th of November 1918. There was no single international agreement, but rather a number of treaties with each of the defeated powers to confirm peace. The most famous of these is the Treaty of Versailles, signed with Germany. On November 11, 1918 an armistice was signed at Compiegne, France. The armistice was the end of the war, but the Treaties of Versailles, St. Germain, Trianon, Neuilly and Serves established the post-war status of the lands taken by the Germans.

The main treaties after WW1 include the Treaty of St. Germain, which dissolved Austria-Hungary and held votes to move certain conflicting populations. The Treaty of Trianon dealt with Hungary's borders. The Treaty of Sevres dealt with the Ottaman Empire's troubled borders. Finally, the Treaty of Neuilly dealt with Bulgaria's borders.
