Unlike what you read in school history books, there were many battles during the Civil War.

Battle of Shiloh was April 6 & 7, 1862. While this battle was going on, the Battle of New Madrid or Island No. 10 was underway.

On April 11, the Battle of Hunstville, AL, occurred.

In Virginia, the Siege of Yorktown, VA, took place from April 5 to May 3.

The battle of Williamsburg, VA occurred on May 5.

Just to name a few of the immediate battles after Shiloh.
