The biggest number of American soldiers killed was during the American civil war. more Americans were killed then then in every other war combined.
There is no such thing as a biggest fraction, for the same reason that there is no biggest number. For example, if you have a large (finite) number, you can always add 1 to it to get an even larger number.
This question is a bit unclear. If you are referring to the Korean war, 36,516 Americans were killed in that war. If you are referring to World War II, 418.500 Americans were killed in that war.
Not many, when you compare that number to the number of Native- Americans killed.
Between 1939-1945 a total of just over 1,000,000(don't rember exact number but was barely over that) canadians had been in the military in some capacity at one point or another.Obviously not all of them were deployable or had active participation in combat theaters.I believe this number also included merchant marines.
The americans didnt like the Lai Massacre which involved unarmed civillians in Vietnam getting killed by American soldiers The number of american soldiers getting killed was growing which made them doubt their leadership Some americans didnt agree with the reasons the leadership used to justify the war with
The official number seems to be 58,282.
There were odd numbers but the biggest number was Russia with 29,000,000 soligers
To date, the number of American military troops who have been killed is 1,321,612. The American Civil War was the deadliest with 625,000 American troops killed. On top of those killed, there are 38,159 who have gone missing.
The Civil War
The poop war.
Approximatel 620,000 soldiers were killed during the American Civil War. There are no accurate figures of the number of civilians killed.
To be honest, there will be no exact number. The civil war era is one of the most unknown periods in the American History if you did not know. I am just putting out there that an estimate will even be far inaccurate. Please realize this.
In terms of the numbers killed the biggest three are as follows: * Auschwitz (as a whole) - about 1.3 million or more killed * Treblinka - about 850,000 killed * Belzec - 434,508 Jews killed and an unknown number of Roma and others.
After the Emancipation Proclamation, the slaves were freed in the areas captured by the Union Army. When the Confederate armies surrendered at the end of the Civil War, the solders turned over their guns to the Union armies. However, a large number of Confederate solders were part of units that simply disbanded and those solders took their guns home with them. There were a number of guns waiting shipment. As a result the South was full of guns. Thus, the former solders either remained armed or quickly rearmed. Slavery had been established by brutality and intimidation. Simply because it was illegal did not mean a number of Southerners intended to give it up. Many blacks remained slaves. Blacks could vote; former Confederate solders could not. Many blacks going to the polls were shot and killed by white men hiding behind bushes. In this situation, congress started quartering solders in private houses. These solders were not the solders of the Civil War but were taken from the dregs of society. They would steal from the home owner and rape the women. They tried to solve one problem and created a worse one. The former Confederate Solders created The Ku Klux Klan and other such secret organizations to kill the worst of the worst. Meanwhile in some places Black People rose to prominent places in the government. When congress finally ended the quartering of solders in homes and gave former Confederate solders the right to vote, they took it out on black people. Black people lost a number of civil rights. They lost none in theory but did in practice.
It is estimated that the number of Americans who were killed during the Civil War were 620,000. Many more have died in other wars and conflicts.
It isn't the biggest number, just the biggest component.
It did not because there is no such thing as the biggest number.
