The ancients did not note the date of a person's birth nor observe birthdays. That is a modern tradition. (My own grandfather did not know the day of his birth).

The Dover Shalom commentary (on Otzar Hatefillot, pages 906 and 910) mentions two opinions. One opinion is that Joseph was born on the first of Tammuz; the other opinion is that he was born on the twenty-seventh of Tammuz. The year, according to tradition, was 1561 BCE.
