probably the wright brothers flying school in Montgomery Alabama 1910 - they opened the flying school to train pilots to fly the airplanes they were going to sell - the school was on an old cotton plantation - Orville wrights first flight at the school was the first known airplane flight in Alabama and also the first ever night flight occured at the school flying by moonlight - the school opened with 5 students but closed after only a few weeks

Hey there, They are in a way equal. US Marines may have quantity, however British Marines have quality. US Army has more man power, it does have intense training, but I and other people agree that the British Army has more intense training. British Army also has the SAS (Special Air Service) the SAS are currently the toughest unit in the world, also the British Army have the SBS (Special Boat Service) this is also another intense unit.
