Median and Mecca are two different cities both sacred to Muslims for different reasons.
Mecca is the Holiest City because of Masjid Ul harram, Baith Ullah., Saffa, Marwa. and for other such places. Mecca Is the Birthplace of Muhammad (PBUH)
Medina is sacred because Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) along with his companions and followers migrated to that city. He lived there, constructed Masjid e Nabvi which is of course sacred for Muslims and also The Holy Body of Muhammad (PBUH) lies in rest there (Rouza Mubarik)
