Everyone thinks it was the Rosenbergs, but it was actually Ted Hall.
My book states "The most dramatic spy case to come before HUAC involved the atomic bomb. Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, a New York couple who were members of the Communist Party, were accused of plotting to pass secret information about the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union." So my answer is Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.
Hitler, he wanted to bomb the Whales. In my case, FrankieThe above is a lie:The Americans developed the first Atomic bomb You should WIKI it as it is a very interesting story.
During the Cold War (when US want the world to be capitalist while Russia wanted it to be communist) in 1950, US President Harry S. Truman authorized the invention of a bomb stronger than the atomic bomb (A-bomb), which both US and Russia already had in their arsenals, just in case if there would be a World War III when World War II just ended. The US tested its first H-bomb (hydrogen bomb) in 1952, which was thousands of times stronger than the A-bomb, then the Soviet Union (Russia) tested their own H-bomb in 1953.
Absolutly not. The dropping of the bomb actually saved lives. The American experience at Okanawa proved the Japanese would not surrender. An invasion of the Japanese homeland by Allie forces would have resulted in far more Japanese deaths than the two bombs created. It would have also resulted in thousands of American casualities. The war was started by Japan, not the U.S. Never forget that. Remember that at the time the bomb was dropped, very few people knew exactly what the results would be from the explosion. Hindsight is always 20/20.AnswerThe dropping of the Atomic bomb was not a war crime. However, I do not agree with the fact that using the Atomic bomb was justified. Yes, it did save lives, but innocent civilians died for the soldiers. A soldier's duty is to protect his country and people, not to be saved by his people. Civilians do not deserve to die, they have nothing to do with the war. Yes, they might have donated money or materials to support their country, but for them it was the right thing to do. It is immoral to kill innocent people. I know that the Japanese was cruel and inhuman to their enemies, but that doesn't mean you can do the same to them. That only shows you are no different from them. Soldiers are suppose to do whatever it takes to bring victory to their country, even if it means for them to die. The deaths of 1 million soldiers are better than the death of 1 civilian. I am not implying that soldiers are less human than normal people, but it is the soldier's job to die in battle his country and people. The atomic bombs did not save lives, on the contrary, it resulted 200,000 lives of innocent civilians to be lost. Does this sound like democracy? PS: I am a Chinese, whose country in WW2 suffered 11 million deaths in the hands the Japanese. Out of the 11 million, 10 million were civilians.Follow up.It is indeed better for a million soldiers to die for their country than a un-militarized citizen, however you have to step back and look apon it as an American of that time. America was a racist country, not to mention had a want for revenge. This being the case, even if we were to do a full scale invasion, the racial tensions of the soldiers comes into play, and more than likely they wouldn't have cared if the target had a weapon or was un-militarized, they would have just as quickly killed them. so in a sense dropping the bomb did save some lives.
Just to name a few things: -American schools had bomb shelters and ran regular bomb drills, such protection included crawling under desks or tables and even crouching against walls with hands covering the face -Families built personal fallout shelters that had heavy doors above ground and small rooms underground. The shelters had pipes with drafts that could be opened or shut to let in fresh air and housed stockpiles of canned food all throughout the 50's in case of emergencies.

We did "duck and cover" for the atomic bomb.
Hitler, he wanted to bomb the Whales. In my case, FrankieThe above is a lie:The Americans developed the first Atomic bomb You should WIKI it as it is a very interesting story.
The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945. The bomber that dropped it was nicknamed the "Enola Gay", named after the pilot's mother. Three days later, the second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, and the bomber in that case was "Bockscar" ("boxcar"), a pun based on the pilot's name, Bock.
Overuse of private transportation causes several significant negative effects.
You wind up killing fewer people when you drop your atomic bomb in an unpopulated area, as compared to a more populated area. Of course, killing people may be exactly what you want to do, in which case, it is more advantageous to drop it in a populated area.
We can never know for certain as that is not the case. However had the Nazies been able to continue fighting or had the bombs been ready before the Nazi surrender, I believe there is a good chance the first atomic bomb would have been dropped in Germany instead of Japan. But this is also not the case as they surrendered before the atomic bomb was available. Counterfactual History can be fun to think about, but rapidly disintegrates into uncontrolled and irrational speculation.
Everyone lived in 'fear and trembling', in case either USSR (Russia) or China, or the USA went to war and used atomic bombs. It never happened!!!! Now-a-days, everyone lives in 'fear and trembling' over Climate change. The USA is the only nation to have used the Atomic Bomb in anger; Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It brought the Second World War to a very rapid end.
The dropping of the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in the near immediate surrender of the Japanese thus ending the war in the pacific and subsequently the war as well. This is as the war in Europe had already been won. Japan swore to fight to the very last man and this they meant which can be seen in the pacific landings were often the case despise an imminent defeat. From this without the atomic bomb a full scale invasion would of been necessary for victory which would have cost more lives than those lost to the bomb and so the bomb saved lives over all.
If necessary, means ending the War (WWII), then yes. There are "reports" that the Japanese were going to surrender, before the bombs were dropped, but the Japanese had been known to use delaying tactics to their advantage. In any case, the dropping of the bombs, ended the war and in doing so, saved countless additional lives. If the Japanese had surrendered when requested, the bombs would not have been dropped.
She had a lisp.
