Arkansas, May 9th; and

Alabama seceded from the Union in 1861 on January 11th because Alabama was one of the states where it was allowed to hold slaves and the other states wouldn't allow it so Alabama wanted to be part of the CSA so they could hold slaves so they seceded from the USA. krL(:
Louisiana seceded from the Union on January 26, 1861, and was among the first seven states to form the new country called The Confederate States of America in February of 1861. The other six states joining her were, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas.
